Your Partners for Sports Tourism
SPR Travel was set up with the specific aim of offering a one stop shop for aquatic sports teams and individuals who visit Malta for training camps, take part in competitions or attend our famous waterpolo camps.
The company is registered with the Malta Tourism Authority and is bound by the rigorous rules imposed on destination management companies in Malta to ensure that tourists who visit the island are given a service befitting the importance of the tourism industry on the island.
SPR is involved in three main activities – logistical help to teams visiting the island for training camps, event organisation and waterpolo camps with some of the biggest names in world waterpolo.

Training Camps
Now that the benefits of warm weather training are understood and appreciated by many coaches, Malta is fast becoming a favourite destination for teams preparing for major championships. We at SPR will take care of all your land arrangements – hotels, food, facilities, transport and round the clock assistance.
Event Organisation
For many years SPR has been organising youth waterpolo tournaments with the participation of teams from all over Europe while the Gozo – Malta swim held every July has grown into an annual event with participants from all over the world.
Waterpolo Camps
SPR is partner in four leading waterpolo camps with some of the top names in World and European waterpolo. Marco Risso is one of the leading coaches in Italy while Olympic gold medalist Tamas Marcz is now also making a name for himself as a top quality coach after a glittering career as a player.
