Every summer, hundreds of boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 years attend one of the SPR Waterpolo Camps that are held in Malta over the months of June, July and August.

SPR Travel have teamed up with some of the greatest names in world waterpolo to give campers a once in a lifetime experience. Our camps are not just about waterpolo. Campers get to visit the many attractions Malta has to offer, watch top pros in action in the Maltese Premier Waterpolo League and snorkel in some of the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean.

As part of each camp, we offer the opportunity to those for whom English is not their mother language to take lessons in the English language from teachers who specialize in teaching English as a foreign language.

Current Camps

Marco Risso is one of the top Italian coaches besides being a lecturer and examiner at the famous Federazione Italiana Nuoto coaching academy. Marco has over 25 years coaching experience at both senior and junior level. He has coached some of the top names in world waterpolo including many Olympians and now coaches Lavagna 91 in the Italian Serie A2

Dani Lopez Pinedo is one of the all time goalkeeping greats in world waterpolo. Not only was he a great shot stopper but also a great motivator to both his team mates and the watching crowd. In the summer of 2024 Dani is partnering us to run his waterpolo camp for goalkeepers here with in Malta. The camp already has confirmed participants from as far as Australia. Dani’s personality and his great communication skills make his camps a memorable experience for all those who participate.

The I ❤️ SUMMER WATERPOLO CAMP is run by the former CN Posillipo great Fabio Galasso. Fabio had a glittering waterpolo career with the Posillipo team that won everything there was to win in European club waterpolo between 1995 and 2003. A team that is considered by many as one of the greatest of all time. Fabio has now turned his attention to coaching juniors and runs the successful academy with Napoli Lions as well as running his waterpolo camps both in Malta and in his home town Naples.
